I am seriously considering upgrading to a new web host. This would offer me more webspace and bandwidth, as well as more complex website capabilities, e.g. PHP, MySQL, CGI, etc. I am currently looking at www.webfusion.co.uk whose WebFusion Home package offers a whopping 1.5 GB webspace and a 10GB monthly bandwidth allowance, and all for under £100 p.a.

Heaven and Hell patch
www.heavengame.de/
It’s nice when software companies listen to their customers. I, and a thousand other Heaven & Hell players have been complaining about bugs in the game, that cause it to hang rather unceremoniously. What is the problem? graphics card, mouse driver, soundcard? Who knows! CDV have now released a patch, which will hopefully sort these problems.
I am a little nervous to try it again (I don’t like crashes, except in Colin McRae Rally 2.0) but will report how I get on.
Mouse & Keyboard in XP
www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/
Here’s a curious thing. My new XP system kept hanging recently, and culprit each time (when it wasn’t the annoying Debuglog.log) was Point32.exe. That’s my mouse! So I checked out Microsoft’s Mouse & Keyboard website and discovered that I should be using Intellipoint 5.0 for XP, rather than the 4.1 installed. Let’s hope things are a little more stable now. Microsoft must be fed up of my almost constant stream of automated crash reports.
The Domain Remains the Same
We now have our www.gareth-and-jane-saunders.co.uk domain name back. We had to wait until our account with Freenetname expired before we wrestled it off them in exchange for cash and transferred it to 123-reg.co.uk to manage it there. It now points… to our front page!
Web domains
At last! Freenetname have relinquished control of our gareth-and-jane-saunders.co.uk domain and I am in the process of transferring it to my account at www.123.reg.co.uk. It soon will point to this website. Other ways to get here include www.pottingshed.org.uk, by bike and by bus.
