Cousin Harry

Harry Gray on BBC Scottish News (Image: BBC News)

I know that the BBC is at the heart of a controversy currently but it was a pleasant surprise last week (Monday 6 March 2023) to see my Mum’s cousin, Harry Gray, featured on the BBC News website in a short video about the evolution of the BBC’s Scotland news coverage.

After his retirement, Harry split his time between a home in the Scottish Borders, living next door to my great aunt (my maternal grandmother’s twin sister) where he spent the summer and another in Morocco to escape the Scottish winters.

There is an article about his life on the Scotland On-Air wiki.
