Jellycat giant bunny with his Burns Brian May guitar
While I’m working from home, I’ve set myself a challenge to have Isaac’s giant Jellycat bunny do something different each day in the background of my video conferencing calls.
So far he’s:
Played an Ovation electro-acoustic guitar.
Played a PRS electro-acoustic guitar .
Played a Burns Brian May electric guitar (two days in a row because… it’s a Burn Brian May electric guitar!)
Sat on his own, just enjoying his own company.
Tomorrow… I expect he’ll be playing a different model of guitar.
This is the daily meditation from a few days ago in the Northumberland Community’s Celtic Daily Prayer (book two) which I have been meditating on for the last few days. I hope it encourages someone as it did me, in these strange days.
Go peaceful in gentleness through the violence of these days. Give freely. Show tenderness in all your ways.
Through darkness, in troubled times let holiness be your aim. Seek wisdom. Let faithfulness burn like a flame.
God speed you! God lead you, and keep you wrapped around His heart! May you be known by love.
Be righteous. Speak truthfully in a world of greed and lies. Show kindness. See everyone through heaven’s eyes.
God hold you, enfold you, and keep you wrapped around His heart. May you be known by love.
I’ve always been more into albums than singles; I like to listen to complete collections of music than a more radio-like random playlist. And even better if I can listen to the whole body of an artist’s work, to hear how they have developed over the years.
This week, inspired by waking up to a Led Zeppelin song on the radio, I’ve had a Led Zep-a-thon.
There is a business analyst saying that “If you don’t measure it, you can’t control it”.
With it looking ever more likely that the UK would soon lock down, on Sunday afternoon, I removed all the food from my cupboards, my fridge and freezer and have recorded it in Trello.
