I used to have a bright yellow AM radio just like this one, spotted on The Old Robots.
His (or her, I never thought to ask) eyes lit up when people spoke or music played, as I listened to Radio Luxembourg beneath my bed sheets late into the night.
And thus began my love of radio. Now sometimes my eyes light up when people speak or music is played.

Not just me who had this radio back in the day! Don’t know what happened to mine, probably got lost moving house. Never saw another yellow one until about 5 years ago on ebay. Missed out on it because I tried haggling the price. Someone else bought it while I was waiting for a reply. Settled on a grey one but it wasn’t the same. Finally found another yellow one a few weeks ago and snapped it up right away. Happy memories of Radio Luxembourg 🙂
