BBC Radio 1’s longest show ever with Chris Moyles and Comedy Dave for Comic Relief

I’ve been really enjoying Chris Moyles and Comedy Dave on BBC Radio 1 for the last 40+ hours, not that I’ve been listening to it all, raising money for Comic Relief.

Much respect.

This screenshot above amused me, from the BBC Radio homepage:

  • On now: The Chris Moyles Show
  • On Next: The Chris Moyles Show

How does he do it?

Incidentally, this is probably the most I’ve listened to BBC Radio 1 for years.

  1. I’ve listened to/watched most of it as well, but I admit I’m a regular CM listener these days.

Watching on the red button now. Need to stop and go to bed, but can’t…

I remember Simon Mayo’s previous record, and he was totally out of it by the 37 hours, whereas Chris still seems fine. How on earth is he doing it?? Amazing!

  2. In the mornings I variously listen to the Today programme on BBC Radio 4, Chris Moyles on BBC Radio 1 and Planet Rock, depending on which room I’m in in the house.

I used to listen to Radio 1 all the time back in the 80s, when I was at high school (1983-1989) and then most of the way through the 90s. Then I got old and discovered Radio 4, and then when I got a DAB radio Planet Rock too, and BBC 6Music.

My favourite BBC Radio 1 DJs are Chris Moyles and Scott Mills.

I really need to go to sleep now… it’s just getting really weird on the Red Button with Miss Newton.
