Power cut

Last night we had a couple of power cuts.

During Big Brother the lights went out, the telly went off. It all returning about a minute later. Big Brother was very amusing.

Then shortly after 10 pm I was sitting in bed reading when the lights went out again.

Everything went off: lights (inside and outside), clock radio, even my book disappeared!

Jane and I were going to go out ram-raiding and looting down at the Anstruther harbour, but we were feeling a bit tired so just stayed in bed with our Mini Maglites and battery-powered radio.

Then the radio went off: the battery had died.
