I’ve just listened to an advertisement on Planet Rock radio for the British Army. It finishes with the words:
One army: regular and territorial
That just doesn’t sound right. I think they should rename them in line with fast food restaurant labels. That way ordinary, non-military folks would have an immediate frame of reference.
So, the territorial army would now become “regular”, and the regular army would now become “large”.
Special forces could be known as “super sized”.
