Archaeologist’s funeral

A friend of mine was on the phone the other day, telling me about the funeral he’d been to of an English County archaeologist.

It got me wondering: at the funeral of an archaeologist do they bury the coffin and then spend the next month slowly digging it up again using small trowels?
