
Clearing out a pile of papers that have lain on a shelf for months I came across an article by Martyn Percy entitled “Can church leaders learn to be leaders again?”. It opens with this marvellous quotation:
Leading the Church of England is like trying to herd cats.

I’m sure that’s probably true of other Church denominations too.
