Worrying advert from Yellow Pages

Advert from the Yellow Pages

This evening I’ve been sorting out and further organizing my clipart folders. I’ve been building up my clipart collection since about 1996 and have over 22,000 items.

In my Health folder I found the above advert scanned a few years ago from the Highlands’ Yellow Pages. It worried me, I remember, that listed under Dental Surgeons was John Lawrie (Demolition) Ltd.

If you’re looking for a dentist in Inverness, by the way, I can thoroughly recommend Academy Dental Practice. It was Neil Wallace who restored my confidence in dentists after a ten year hiatus, when a broken tooth saw me crawling reluctantly back.

My childhood dentist in Selkirk, however, was indeed from the demolition school of dentists.

Could this be the job for me…?

Bling cross

I had an email from my friend Jonny Coore today. He’s a student at the Church of England vicar factory Trinity Theological College, Bristol, and he offered me this tempting thought about my job situation:

How is the employment situation? Birmingham still needs a Bishop and I thought we could do a job share – you can wear the hat so long as I have the bling.

I’ll mull it over from the confines of my sick-bed.
