Stipendiary Clergy Conference

# We’re all going on a clergy conference,
no more blogging for a day or two.

This afternoon the stipendiary (that is full-time / paid) clergy of the Diocese of Edinburgh will be descending on the Atholl Palace Hotel, Pitlochry for a conference entitled “New Church, New Ministry”.

As this will likely be my last stipendiary clergy conference for a while I was keen to attend. It’s a good opportunity to meet with fellow clergy, chat, learn, and make new and deeper friendships. Especially in the bar in the evening.

I seem to recall from last year that there was a particularly competitive Evangelicals vs. Liberals pool competition, with much whisky consumed and hangovers nursed in the morning.

I’d better go pack … now, what does a trendy young priest wear to these gatherings these days?
