Thirty-four

Gareth Gareth
Before (me, aged about 1 year old), and After (me, aged alot!)

Today I celebrate my 34th birthday. The next time my age has consecutive numbers I’ll be 45 — which is the most satisfying darts score call. Try it! “FOR-ty FI-i-i-ive!”

I was born at 01:04 on Thursday 11 November 1971, at the Eastern General Hospital, Edinburgh.

  1. Happy Birthday! I hope it’s a good one. I enjoyed 2 cups of tea in my brand new, eye-injury themed, mug yesterday – many thanks. A present is on its way to you via Jane. Love Andrew, Lindsay & Peter.

  2. Thanks Andrew. Sorry my courier couldn’t deliver the mug until now!

The birthday greeting that’s had me laughing most, so far was from my good mate Danny Curtis (via MSN Messenger):

“i’m gonna have 2 mins silence at 11 to renember you”

(And yes, ‘renember’ is right. It’s a reference to a Nicky Gumbel Alpha talk.)
