I received a kind email from POS Ltd today informing me that they’ve moved premises, and would I please update the details on my website.

Once I had, I looked up their website: www.posltd.com and discovered that it’s had a complete redesign. Not only that, but they’re advertising a new PDA called the PsiXpda. Which, to all intents and purposes, looks exactly like my belovéd Psion 5mx. I’m looking forward to more details being made available. Seemingly they are “comming (sic) soon”!

Have you heard any more about this? Like for many people I know, Psion’s decision to stop producing windows-compatible microcomputers with keyboards was a sad day for me. I have 4 5mxs, having frantically bought up old stock when they were going out of production. Only one is in perfect working order. I’ve looked all over the web but can’t find any confirmation that this machine is actually on the market. Do you know anything?

Richard
I don’t know any more than is on the POS Ltd. website. You say that only 1 of 4 of your Psion Series 5mx’s work properly. You do know that POS Ltd. repair them — and well — and very quickly — and to a very high standard. http://www.posltd.com for details.
