Drown 

From an angry sea
To the tranquillity of darkness below
Dancing currents wash me over
Sinking deeper
One final breath
Released
As this world opens her hand
And allows me to pass on.

I drown to the bottom of this wound you've opened
Heart cracked open for all to see
Limbs are numb, my head is swimming
Body too tired, no time to breathe.

I drown in the bottom of this heart you've broken
I can't fulfil what you want me to be
A smile for the passer-by
In lieu of words spoken
This mask falls off
My true face you see.
