The Constraints of Freedom Cried shadows flickered the fire danced. in this new artificial light i saw you. as you lay content on the floor. i observed you a loving glance like that to a child. gentle and kind no harsh gesture or word. innocence lay quietly, uninterrupted by fire. dancing freely, controlled restricted as if wanting to explode releasing all it knew all it felt. this fire burns slowly inside. charring, cleansing purifying. but like the spark which ignited this inferno, my flame is nervous, unsure of what it can do and yet wanting to consume. shadows flickering, dancing from the fire light in this new artificial light REAL feelings burned. gareth j m saunders http://www.garethjmsaunders.co.uk (c) 15 May 1990
