Problem: > I save some files as .prn because I couldn't print them at the time. > how do I print these .prn files? Solution: Open a DOS box and type: copy filename.prn prn or copy filename.prn lpt1 Be aware of these two things. 1. The .PRN file must have been made from the SAME printer or else you will print junk. 2. If you use a special device, like I do, to use your printer through a USB port, this *will not* work. "Copy filename.prn usb" IS NOT a valid command. You can add a Generic\Text only printer to print .prn files. Additional information: To create a Generic\Text Only Printer: 1. Double-click on the Add Printer icon 2. Click Next 3. Select Local Printer 4. Click Next 5. Select Generic, from the list 6. Click Next 7. Select FILE, from the available ports box 8. Select NO, for this to become your default printer 9. Select No, to print a test page. If prompted, insert the Windows CD disk, to install the print driver.
