Joint Joinee of the Year 2003
Rather astonishingly, I've been awarded joint Joinee of the Year 2003 with Gold Joinee Gaz (p.56 ff.) A result for Team Scotland! I am absolutely delighted - many thanks to Danny, to JOINMEdinburgh, Silver Joinees Frost & Hodges (who scooped up the Most Promising Newcomers award) and the very many other amazing people I've met.

Feeling of gilt
One of the perks of being Joinee of the Year was that Danny allowed me to nominate and gilt (is that the correct verb for making someone a Silver Joinee?) someone.
I chose the lovely Silver Joinee Kate Arkless Gray (above), who is, as far as we know, the only Joinee to have a double-barrelled, non-hyphenated surname.
Going for Gold
I'm
a Gold Joinee now! The presentation took place outside St Andrew's
Cathedral in Inverness shortly before I left there for Edinburgh.
